Manager Of The First Winning Pro Baseball Team During The COVID Era

Independent Baseball Trivia Question

Who managed the first professional baseball team to win a game during the COVID era?

Answer:

David Peterson of the Salina Stockade. He managed the 2020 Stockade which played in the Pecos League (all games played in Houston, Texas due to COVID restrictions), and his team won the first game played on July 2, 2020. The Stockade defeated the Tucson Saguaros by a final score of 16-5. By July 2, 2020 no other professional baseball league had played a game (not MLB, not MiLB, nor any other independent professional league) since the announcement of the COVID pandemic. The Roswell Invaders and Houston Apollos played in the 2nd game that day (July 2, 2020).
