Bob Wirz has written the Independent Baseball Insider column for the past 8 years.  It is possibly the only publication to consistently give equal weight to the business side of independent baseball, the human interest stories in the independent leagues, as well as help baseball fans track the progress of those who made it to the Major Leagues after spending time in independent baseball.
